Lets walk down memory lane

Hey, Im Jamie and this is my blog for DESN112, a design paper at Victoria University.

The project I've chosen to write is the one word film, the word I used was “Kinetic”.

The Animation:
Using Adobe flash CS3 I created an animation that represented the word kinetic in a really simple but effective way. My animation is based on the Newton’s cradle, a kinetic sculpture.

The Storyboard:
My storyboard was quite different from other storyboards, like the animation it was quite simple. I used only one frame in which all the movement was shown, it also showed the origins of my idea as well.

Review-sicle pie, like a popsicle pie but not

This is the first time I've made a blog, and its been pretty interesting and enjoyable

When just randomly choosing people from the class list i would often stumble across some really interesting blogs with amazing work, and interesting links, the ones that really got my attention i commented on. The work i commented on was often really different and you could tell heaps of work had gone into it.

The comments i received were often about how tidy and organised my blog was, which i was kinda of going for. I also got a comment from a friend about how he hadn't sleep that night and how his girlfriend had left at seven that morning, that was pretty cool.

Graphic-design-blog : This blog is full of awesome graphic design work and some sweeeet photography.

Everything on there is a feast for the eyes.

Destilatorblog is a blog from a site called Zavod big. The content is mostly architecture and industrial design from southeast Europe, the stuff they post is too cool. Its also a continuation of a blog called Kontrastblog.

Gizmodo is all about shiny new gadgets and technology, things like the new iphone and a concept toaster that drops your toast onto your plate as well as having a viewing window.
